Information for Authors

If you are interested in submitting a manuscript to Sociological Spectrum please read the following information:

Preparation of Manuscripts:All manuscripts must be typed, double-spaced with 1 inch margins on all sides and following the current American Sociological Review style. Each manuscript should be accompanied by a title page including complete author name(s), affiliation(s), mailing address, phone, fax, and e-mail information (for multiple author papers, provide complete information for each author and indicate the corresponding author).

Submitted manuscripts will undergo an editorial screening and peer review by anonymous referees. Authors should avoid placing any form of identification either on the body of the manuscript or on the required abstract of 100 words or less. Manuscripts that do not conform to these requirements will be returned to the authors for correction and will delay the review process.

Submission of Manuscripts: The original and four copies of the manuscript, along with a CD containing the document formatted in Microsoft Word, should be submitted to the editor. Along with the manuscript, please include a check or money order for $10.00 payable to Sociological Spectrum to help defray processing costs. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become property of the publisher.
